APPOINTMENT HOURS

Appointments are available during our normal business hours. We strive for same day appointments when your child is ill, but request well child appointments and follow up appointments to be scheduled in advance. We have evening hours Monday through Thursday, and same day appointments available on Saturday mornings. We make every attempt to offer you an appointment with your primary care physician, as we value the relationship that this continuity builds.

We do request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. This allows us to open that appointment for another child that may need it. If you do not show or fail to cancel with 24 hours notice, you will be charged a fee of $25 for illness visits and $50 for well child care or extended illness/behavioral visits.

WALK IN HOURS

We have walk-in clinic on Monday mornings from 8:30 to 9:00 am. At this time, we are be happy to see children with acute illnesses (e.g., ear pain, fever, rash, sore throat, diarrhea, colds). Visits will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once these slots are full, you will be offered an appointment for later that day.

AFTER HOURS CARE

If a non-emergency medical problem arises after routine office hours and you would like to advice from the Seattle Children's Hospital Nurse Triage Team, call our regular office phone number (206-546-2421) and our answering service will connect you.

Please note that there is a $18.00 charge to you for each call to the nurse triage team. If after speaking with the nurse you (or the nurse) feels that it is appropriate to speak to the physician on-call, the nurse will facilitate that communication.

For after hours care, we recommend Seattle Children's Hospital, which has two options. For urgent problems that are not emergencies, Seattle Children's Hospital has the Urgent Care Clinic located at 1500 116th Ave. NE in Bellevue, and is open on both evenings and weekends on a first-come, first-served basis. For emergencies, Seattle Children's Hospital Emergency Room is located at it's main location at 4800 Sand Point Way N.E. in Seattle and is open 24 hours a day. Both locations are manned by pediatricians on staff at Children’s. If either you or the nurse consultant feels that your child’s illness/concern should not wait until our office reopens, please feel comfortable utilizing these opportunities for more timely care.
